About Us

Kim Apa started Bows for a Princess in sunny South Florida in 2005. She was pregnant with her second child and was determined it was another little girl. It was a little boy and she was still over the moon but still wanted to make hair accessories for her older daughter. Her wonderful husband of 13 years came up with the name Bows for a Princess after Kim would search the internet for hair accessories for their little girl. With that wonderful name she created a wonderful business that included her well created digital hair bow instructions which launched the cute hair sculpture you still see today. From Butterflies to Ladybugs her instructions showed millions how to make them. She continued her business and was very successful. Bows for a Princess has been an approved Zulily vendor since 2011 and you will find many headbands and products on their site from time to time.

Bows for a Princess has been closed for two years now due to Kim's mom passing away in early 2013. She was blessed with another beautiful little girl in 2014 and is now back in business! So with three beautiful children and a wonderful, supportive husband Bows for a Princess is back to stay! We thank everyone who has support us through the last 2 years, it's been very difficult but this business was Kim's passion and she is working very hard to keep it a success!
